Meet the Winners of the 2025 scholarships!

Congratulations to the scholarship recipients from the Emerald Isle Fishing Tournament!

This year the Emerald Isle Fishing Tournament Committee awarded a total of  six scholarships to students from Swansboro High School and from East and West Carteret High Schools.

Successful applicants must have been accepted into an accredited 2-year Community or Technical College or a 4-year College or University. They must have expressed a serious interest in some aspect of Marine or Coastal Science or Engineering, as indicated by their planned major.

The scholarship recipients were: Ruby Parker (West Carteret High School), Gavin Pesko (Croatan High School), Mackenzie Moyer (Croatan High School), Kaiden Atchinson (Croatan High School), Maggie Murray (East Carteret High School), and Dylan Tradewell (Croatan High School)

We would also like to express our gratitude to all participants who took part in the event. Your enthusiasm and sportsmanship made the tournament a huge success, and we appreciate your contribution to our vibrant fishing community.

A special thank you goes out to our generous sponsors for providing the scholarship funds. Your support and commitment to our youth are invaluable, and we are grateful for the opportunities you have created.

Congratulations to all of our amazing winners!
